Perry's first opened its doors in sept 1951 it was called Perry's. Like most businesses of its day the name came about simply because that was the name of its founder Mr Ron Perry.

Mr Perry had a vision and started out as a one man band determined to own a successful bathroom store that would be known for its fast, friendly, honest and reliable service(something still thought of at Perry's to this day).

In the earlier days Perry's not only sold bathrooms we also specialized in plumbing materials and installation with Mr Perry installing the bathrooms himself. His service became second to none with people coming from far and wide for what was known as the Perry's touch (good honest customer service).

Perry's grew mainly through word of mouth. Over the years the corner that Mr Perry started his humble bathroom shop on became known to locals as Perry's Corner and quite the land mark it was. The pavement outside the store became chock-a-bloc with bath tubs, basins and other bathroom products.

As the years rolled by, Perry's welcomed customers new and old and maintained its high class service and excellent prompt delivery.

In 1987 Mr Perry sold his now well established business to a Mrs English. With the new owner came many changes. The most noticeable was that Perry's would no longer install only supply. The business was down scaled but it never lost its ability to please its customers and continued its unrivaled approach to customer service. Not much else changed during Mrs English's ownership and she finally sold it in 1999.

Now owned by Mr Goold & Chand, the store would go on to see many years of success still holding on to the original concept of fast, friendly, honest and reliable service. Although little changed within Perry's, the company still offered a great service.

Outside the doors Croydon was changing, quickly and drastically Perry's corner, once considered a prime location, now had parking restrictions which meant people could no longer pull up outside and run in to find their ideal bathroom. Of course this combined with new competition and the fact that the shop had not been updated in so many years saw Perry's first decline in business since its inception.

Perry's would now be taken over by a family owned company in 2007 “Perry's Solutions”. The first  and probably the hardest decision taken by the new owners, was to uproot Perry's and move it. Staying close enough to Croydon their aim was to find a new location that would be parallel to its original home and keep its well known customer service, which was the easiest  part.

To do this they simply kept on the original staff that have been the face of Perry's for more than 56 years. We then designed a new showroom, updated colours,  a new logo and a company slogan that reflected its 57 years of success and reopened on Croydon road in Beckenham.
